In a strategic move gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena has unveiled a formidable lineup of 40 star campaigners, featuring stalwarts from various political spheres. The star-studded list includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and a host of prominent leaders from the Shiv Sena, BJP, NCP, and other allied parties.

Joining the ranks of star campaigners are key figures such as BJP President JP Nadda, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Nitin Gadkari, Ramdas Athavale, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. The list further encompasses a diverse array of leaders, including Mahadev Jankar of the Rashtriya Samaj Party, People’s Republican Party President Joginder Kawade, State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, NCP leader Praful Patel, and Milind Deora, among others.

The strategic selection of star campaigners underscores the collaborative efforts within the Mahayuti alliance, comprising the Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP, led by Ajit Pawar. NCP chief Ajit Pawar recently indicated that the seat-sharing formula within the alliance is nearing finalization, with an official announcement slated for March 28. This alliance strategy aims to leverage the collective strength and appeal of these seasoned campaigners to garner support and sway voters across Maharashtra.

Amidst the campaign fervor, Shiv Sena’s Rahul Shewale hinted at an imminent announcement regarding the party’s candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, further intensifying anticipation and speculation. Notably, Shiv Sena (UBT) has already unveiled its first list of 16 candidates from Maharashtra, featuring seasoned politicians like former Union minister Anant Geete and Arvind Sawant, marking the party’s strategic positioning ahead of the electoral battle.

Maharashtra, a pivotal battleground with 48 constituencies, will witness a spirited electoral contest unfolding in five phases, beginning on April 19. The dynamic lineup of star campaigners and the strategic maneuvering within the Mahayuti alliance set the stage for a fiercely contested and closely watched electoral saga, shaping the political landscape of Maharashtra and influencing the national narrative in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
